Giving Back
In addition to vocational and communication skills and a sense of community
inclusion, we at PVI believe it is equally important to teach our participants
the importance of compassion and giving. We are proud to be able to support
the following groups through donations and the preparation of "care packages"
which include our home made dog biscuits and other participant made items.
• Cherokee HS Animal Welfare Club
• Evesham Twp. Police Department K-9 Unit
• Adopt-a-Soldier
• US Military Service Dogs serving in Afghanistan
• Broadway Barks (2010)
Broadway Barks, founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore,
is an annual animal charity event held in New York city to promote the
adoption of shelter animals. This benefit supports over twenty-five animal
shelters.
• The Animal Orphanage, Voorhees, NJ
(www.theanimalorphanage.org)
• Joe Joe's Place Animal Sanctuary, Medford, NJ
(www.joejoesplace.org)
On a monthly basis, PVI hosts an animal adoption at our pet accessories retail
store, Pride Paws, located at 26 S. Main St., Medford, NJ. These shelters bring
dogs and cats to our store in hopes of finding them a good home. Upon
successful adoption, Pride Paws will provide a basket of items from our store
to the happy new parents.
